SMS Terms & Conditions

These SMS Terms & Conditions ("SMS Terms") govern your enrollment in and use of the text messaging program ("SMS Program") operated by Calming Spot LLC ("Calming Spot," "we," "us," or "our"). By opting in to receive text messages from Calming Spot, you agree to these SMS Terms. If you do not agree, do not opt in, and reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time.

1. Program description. The Calming Spot SMS Program sends transactional and marketing text messages, including: (a) appointment and session reminders, (b) event notifications and schedule updates, including pre-session updates to booked clients, and (c) announcements about new classes, sessions, and offerings. We use Mailchimp as our SMS service provider to send these messages on our behalf.

2. How to opt in. You can opt in by (a) checking the SMS consent box on our booking page and submitting your mobile number, (b) providing your number to us in person at a session or event and confirming that you want to receive texts, or (c) texting a keyword we publish. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Calming Spot.

3. Message frequency. Message frequency varies depending on the services you use and the events we host.

4. Message & data rates. Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details on your plan. Calming Spot is not responsible for carrier charges.

5. How to opt out. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message we send. You may also email hello@calmingspot.com to request that we remove your number. After you opt out, you will receive one final confirmation message and will not receive further marketing or notification texts from us. Accepted opt-out keywords include STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, and QUIT.

7. Supported carriers. Supported carriers include all major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission from your wireless carrier and is not guaranteed.

8. Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and the account holder or authorized user of the mobile phone number you submit to enroll in the SMS Program.

9. Privacy. Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and protect your information, including information related to the SMS Program. Calming Spot will not sell, rent, share, or otherwise transfer your mobile phone number, your opt-in consent, or any related information to any third party or affiliate for their marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information—including phone numbers, consent records, or message content—will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional reasons. The only exception is that we may share your mobile information with service providers or subcontractors who help us operate the SMS Program (for example, Mailchimp) under written confidentiality obligations; those service providers may only use your information to deliver and support our messages to you.

10. Changes to these SMS Terms. We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent changes. Your continued participation in the SMS Program after any update constitutes your acceptance of the updated SMS Terms.
